In 2005, TRG was selected by General Motors to run the factory-supported Pontiac GTO.R racecars, and coordinate their worldwide media and competition launch. We commissioned the design of the racecar livery itself, and coordinated a suite of presentation materials for fans and media like based on the livery. One of the most striking racecars of the last decade, the GTO.R was an immediate hit with fans and Pontiac owners alike; our fan materials were distributed to more than 2500 Pontiac dealerships in North America, and our media kit and promotional materials greased the skids for extensive media coverage in the automotive, motorsport and business press.

Coordinating the efforts of multiple vendors, we jointly led the charge to present the new Pontiac GTO.R to the international racing and automotive media with Pattee Design, a design and technology shop that remains very close to M+C.

Our efforts yielded widespread media coverage for the team and for Pontiac, including in venues as varied as Road & Track, Racer Magazine and the TV broadcast of the 2006 Daytona 500. Working in concert with GM’s various agencies, we assisted Pontiac to arrange owners’ events, create broadcast commercials and execute its media strategy.
